Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Noida Campus welcomed its newly admitted students for the academic session 2026–27 through its five-day Orientation Programme “Ignite 2026”, held from 24 to 29 August 2026, followed by Sports Orientation on 31 August 2026.

Built around the theme “Begin with Confidence, Learn with Curiosity, Lead with Integrity,” the programme gave students and their parents a warm introduction to university life, academic programmes, campus facilities and the many opportunities available beyond the classroom.

The orientation brought together students from the Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology, Maharishi School of Business Management, Maharishi Law School, Maharishi School of Science and Humanities, Maharishi School of Media and Animation, Maharishi School of Pharmaceuticals and Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness. Each school provided students with an introduction to its academic programmes, curriculum, faculty, career opportunities and the learning journey ahead.

The programme began with Guru Puja and Ganesh Vandana, followed by an inspiring address by Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Trapty Agarwal, who warmly welcomed the students and encouraged them to approach their academic journey with curiosity, commitment, discipline, and a spirit of continuous learning. The students were also inspired by messages from the University leadership, including the Hon’ble Chancellor, Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava; Hon’ble Director General, Prof. (Group Captain) O. P. Sharma; Hon’ble BOG Member, Shri Rahul Bhardwaj; Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh; and Registrar, Dr. Girish Chimmwal.

The students were further introduced to the Dean Students’ Welfare and Chief Proctor, who apprised them of student welfare initiatives, campus discipline, anti-ragging measures, and the importance of fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. They were also briefed about Training & Placement, the Maharishi Industry Relations Cell (MIRC), ERP, and other student support systems. An Anti-Ragging skit further highlighted the University’s commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming campus for every student.

A special focus was placed on connecting students with the professional world from the very beginning. Students of the School of Engineering & Technology interacted with professionals from GUVI HCL, IBM, Xebia and Samatrix.io, gaining practical insights into emerging technologies, industry expectations, data analytics, professional skills and career opportunities. More than 100 students participated in the Xebia and Samatrix.io interaction sessions.

The Maharishi Law School added a strong professional and social dimension through sessions on the Legal Aid and Pro Bono Club and an interaction with Advocate Siddharth Agarwal, Advocate-on-Record, Supreme Court of India, who shared valuable insights into legal practice, professional ethics and career development.

For students, the orientation focused on developing curiosity, discipline, creativity, scientific thinking, communication and professional responsibility. The sessions encouraged students to see their education not simply as a degree, but as preparation for meaningful careers and responsible lives.

The University also gave students an opportunity to learn directly from its alumni. An Alumni Interaction Session, organized with the Alumni Association and IQAC, brought together 14 alumni and more than 350 students from different schools. Alumni shared honest experiences about careers, higher studies, placements, entrepreneurship, communication skills, leadership and the importance of continuous learning.

The MUIT Incubation & Innovation Foundation (MIIF) further introduced students to entrepreneurship, innovation, mentoring, startup development, funding opportunities and the journey from an idea to a viable venture.

The Orientation Programme extended beyond academics with a vibrant Sports Orientation on 31 August 2026. Students were introduced to campus sports clubs and major events such as the Maharishi Premier League (MPL), Maharishi Football League (MFL) and SPARKS – Annual Sports Fest. Fun activities and games encouraged students to embrace fitness, teamwork, leadership and an active campus life.

Overall, Ignite 2026 was more than an introduction to the University—it was the beginning of a new chapter for the students. The programme brought together learning, industry exposure, creativity; innovation, sports, values and human connection, helping the new batch begin their journey at Maharishi University with confidence and enthusiasm.

With its emphasis on quality education, industry-oriented learning, Transcendental Meditation, value-based education and holistic development, Maharishi University, Noida Campus looks forward to nurturing the new generation into confident professionals, creative thinkers and conscious leaders.
