Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd.

B.Pharm 4th Year (7th Semester) students of Maharishi School of Pharmaceuticals, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus, visited Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., HSIIDC Food Park, Rai Industrial Area, Sonipat, Haryana – 131029, on 22 August 2026 for practical exposure to industrial manufacturing. Around 41 students participated in the visit, accompanied by two faculty members, Dr. Stuti Pandey and Mr. Dhananjay Mishra.

Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between Yakult Honsha Co., Ltd., Japan, and Danone S.A., France, and is known for manufacturing the probiotic fermented milk drink Yakult.

During the visit, students observed various stages of fermentation and production, along with microbiological practices, quality control, hygiene, packaging, and storage processes. Industry experts explained the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance, contamination control, and food safety in maintaining product quality and safety.

The visit enhanced students’ understanding of the practical application of pharmaceutical microbiology, biotechnology, industrial pharmacy, and quality-control principles. Overall, it was an informative and enriching experience that provided valuable industrial exposure and encouraged students to explore career opportunities in the probiotic and allied health industries.
