ON THE FIVE-DAY

FACULTY INDUCTION PROGRAMME

10th to 14th August 2026

Organized by: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus

The five-day induction programme was thoughtfully designed to familiarize newly joined faculty members with the University's vision, values, academic framework, professional responsibilities, institutional policies, administrative systems, and holistic well-being practices. The programme provided an enriching platform for faculty members to understand their roles and responsibilities and become an integral part of the University community and their contributions towards institutional excellence.

Day 1 – Introduction to the University

The programme commenced on 10 August 2026 with Guru Puja, followed by an introductory session conducted by Professor (Dr.) Trapty Agarwal. The session was conducted by Dr. Mudita Agarwal, who introduced the faculty members to the University's Vision, Mission, Core Values, Organizational Structure, and Governance. The day concluded with an Introduction to Transcendental Meditation (TM), also facilitated by Dr. Mudita Agarwal. The day provided a strong foundation for understanding the University's institutional identity and holistic approach.

Day 2 – Faculty Responsibilities and Innovative Teaching

The second day, held on 11 August 2026, focused on Roles and Responsibilities of Faculty Members, Teaching-Learning Pedagogies, and Innovative Teaching Methods. The session was conducted by Prof. (Dr) Trapty Agarwal, who engaged the faculty members through a series of interactive and activity-based exercises.The activities helped participants reflect on their responsibilities as teachers, mentors, researchers, and contributors to institutional development. The day also included the course of Transcendental Meditation – Day 2, conducted by Dr. Mudita Agarwal.

Day 3 – Academic Policies and Quality

On 12 August 2026, the programme focused on Academic Policies and Regulations and Code of Conduct, with emphasis on Building Quality, Compliance, and Excellence in Higher Education. The session was conducted by Professor (Dr) Archana Pandey. Faculty members gained valuable insights into academic policies, institutional compliance, professional conduct, and quality-oriented practices in higher education. Dr. Pandey emphasized the importance of aligning teaching-learning practices with the institutional vision, academic philosophy, and institutional values. The day also included the course of Transcendental Meditation – Day 3, conducted by Dr. Mudita Agarwal and Mr. Gaurav Thakur.

Day 4 – HR Policies and Benefits

The fourth day, held on 13 August 2026, focused on Human Resource (HR) Policies and Benefits. The session was conducted by Shri Sunil Mishra, who provided faculty members with an orientation to the University’s HR framework and relevant employee benefits. The session helped participants develop a better understanding of institutional policies and professional procedures. The day concluded with the course of Transcendental Meditation – Day 3, conducted by Dr. Mudita Agarwal and Mr. Gaurav Thakur.

Day 5 – ERP and TM Checking

The final day, 14 August 2026, focused on ERP, with the session conducted by Prof. (Dr) Awakash Mishra. The session familiarized faculty members with the University's ERP system and its relevance to academic and administrative processes. This was followed by TM course, conducted by Dr. Mudita Agarwal. The programme formally concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Professor (Dr) Archana Pandey.

Conclusion

The five-day Faculty Induction Programme was a comprehensive and enriching initiative that successfully addressed the institutional, academic, administrative, professional, and holistic dimensions of faculty development. The sessions conducted by the distinguished resource persons provided valuable insights and helped newly joined faculty members to understand the University's functioning and their responsibilities. The programme concluded on a positive note, fostering a sense of belonging, professionalism, continuous learning, and commitment towards academic excellence and institutional growth.
