A Report on 1-Day Workshop  to Polymers at JMV LPS Ltd. on 08.05.26

Introduction

Maharishi School of Humanities had organized a visit to JMV LPS Ltd. W-50, Sector 11, Noida (UP) on 08. 05. 26 at 11.00 A.M for the students of B. Sc. IV Sem, and B.Sc.VI Sem. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with practical, hands-on exposure to techniques used for increasing the weight of plastic materials. In addition, the session focused on methods for determining the filler content in polymers, highlighting both the analytical approaches employed and the implications of filler concentration on the overall properties of the material.

Objectives of the Visit

  • To study and evaluate different techniques used to enhance the density and weight of plastic materials.
  • To learn and apply analytical methods for quantifying filler content in polymers.
  • To assess the Impact of filler content on strength, stiffness, toughness, and durability.

Visit Highlights

  • Students were introduced to techniques used for analyzing and determining filler content in plastics.
  • The visit broadened their understanding of polymers through exposure to advanced concepts.
  • Students learned how changes in filler content directly influence the quality, performance, and durability of plastics.

Outcome

  • Students gained valuable practical experience in the determination of polymer filler content in plastics.
  • The Visit deepened the understanding regarding how filler variations influence the structural integrity and performance of polymeric materials.
  • Students learned techniques for enhancing density and explored their impact on material properties in industrial applications.
  • The visit successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with practical exposure and fostered a comprehensive appreciation of polymer science and its real-world significance.

Conclusion:

The industrial visit to JMV LPS Ltd. provided students with a valuable academic and experiential learning opportunity and offering meaningful insights into the role of fillers in modifying polymer characteristics alongside the techniques used to determine filler content. The visit proved to be highly insightful and academically significant, as it offered students an invaluable opportunity to broaden their understanding of polymers.
