Organized by: Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Noida organized the “Free Grooming and Hygiene Drive” on 13th May, 2026 jointly by Maharishi School of Business Management and Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology in collaboration with Gillette & Whisper India.
The objective of the session was to create awareness among students about the importance of personal hygiene, grooming, self-care, and professional presentation in daily life. The session aimed to encourage students to adopt healthy hygiene practices and understand the role of grooming in building confidence, enhancing personality development, improving communication skills, and preparing for professional life.
Participating Students
Around 700 students from various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including B.Tech, BBA, B.Com, and MBA, actively participated in the session with great enthusiasm and engagement.
About the Event
The programme commenced with the welcome of the resource person, Ms. Rakhi Gogoi, by Dr. Awakash Mishra, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, and Dr. Azad Singh, Dean, Maharishi School of Business Management. The dignitaries appreciated the collaborative effort undertaken to organize such an informative and socially relevant awareness programme for the benefit of students. They highlighted the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and grooming standards in today's professional and socially connected world.
During the session, Ms. Rakhi Gogoi addressed the students and emphasized the significance of adopting healthy hygiene habits and maintaining proper grooming practices in everyday life. She explained that personal hygiene is not only essential for physical health and well-being but also plays a crucial role in building self-confidence, improving communication skills, and creating a positive personal and professional image. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, she encouraged students to develop habits related to cleanliness, skincare, grooming etiquette, and overall self-care.
The resource person also discussed how grooming and hygiene contribute significantly to personality development and professional readiness. She informed students that in corporate and professional environments, personal presentation and confidence are considered important aspects of an individual's personality. As part of the awareness initiative, grooming and hygiene kits were distributed among the participating students.
