Interaction with TV News Anchor Saeed Ansari

Objective of the visit: The purpose of the event is to offer valuable insights into the requirements of being a news anchor thereby enhancing the practical knowledge of the students.

Participating Students:

The students of BA (J&MC) and MA (J&MC) along with the faculty members of the department participated in the visit.

The Department of Media and Communication recently had the privilege of hosting renowned journalist and television anchor Saeed Ansari for an interactive session with students. The visit proved to be an enriching experience as he shared his professional journey, insights into journalism, and valuable advice for aspiring media professionals.

During the session, Mr. Ansari spoke about his long career in broadcast journalism and his association with the news channel Aaj Tak. He discussed the challenges and responsibilities that come with being a journalist in the fast-paced world of television news. He emphasized the importance of credibility, ethical reporting, and maintaining accuracy while covering breaking news and political developments.

Mr. Ansari also shared several real-life experiences from the field, explaining how journalists often work under pressure while ensuring that information reaches the public in a timely and responsible manner. He highlighted the impact of new media technologies and digital platforms on contemporary journalism and encouraged students to adapt to changing media landscapes.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in a question-and-answer segment. They asked questions about career opportunities in journalism, the role of television news in democracy, and the skills required to succeed in the media industry. Mr. Ansari responded with practical advice, encouraging students to remain curious, keep learning, and uphold professional ethics.

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks by the faculty, expressing gratitude to Mr. Ansari for taking time out of his busy schedule to interact with the students. The session was both informative and inspiring, leaving students motivated to pursue careers in journalism with dedication and integrity.

More than 60 students of department of media have participated in this workshop accompanied by all the faculty member of Media department. The session was highly informative, interactive and motivating for all students
