The 5th Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Intra Moot Court Competition 2026 was organized by Maharishi Law School in association with IQAC on 30th March 2026 and 1st April 2026. The event was successfully conducted by the Maharishi Student Bar Forum under the able guidance of Dean Dr. Amita Rathi and Prof. Dr. K.B. Asthana. This competition provided a prestigious platform for law students to enhance their mooting, research, and advocacy skills in a highly competitive environment.
The event commenced on 30th March 2026 with the traditional Guru Puja, followed by a formal inauguration ceremony. A total of 14 teams participated in the preliminary rounds held on the first day. After rigorous courtroom sessions, 8 teams qualified for the quarterfinals. The preliminary and quarterfinal rounds were extensive and intensely contested. All rounds were judged by experienced practicing advocates specializing in their respective fields, who ensured professional evaluation and provided valuable feedback to the participants.
On the second day, 1st April 2026, the competition progressed to the semifinal rounds, in which 4 teams participated. Out of these, 2 teams advanced to the final rounds. The Grand Final was judged by an eminent panel comprising Chief Guest Retd. Prof. Dr. Afzal Wani, Guest of Honour Prof. Dr. Nuzat Parveen, and Distinguished Judge and Legal Head Mr. Varun Bhutani. The judges appreciated the high quality of arguments and legal reasoning presented by the finalists.
Team Code 003, consisting of students from BBA LL.B. II Semester, emerged as the winner of the final round. Kushagra Pandey, a student of BBA LL.B. II Semester, was awarded the title of Best Mooter. The award for Best Memorial and Researcher was jointly conferred upon Kavya Bharadwaj of LL.B. VI Semester and Krishna Bharadwaj of BBA LL.B. VI Semester.
The 5th Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Intra Moot Court Competition 2026 proved to be a wholesome and enriching academic event. It successfully fostered healthy competition while reinforcing the core values of discipline, thorough research, and professional ethics upheld by Maharishi Law School. The smooth and efficient organization of the event by the Maharishi Student Bar Forum was widely appreciated by all participants and dignitaries
