“Brewing Codes 4.0” – Hackathon 2026

Introduction
The Brewing Codes 4.0 Hackathon 2026 was successfully organized by the Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus. This 24-hour coding marathon brought together 95+ teams from across India, including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, and West Bengal.
The event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their technical expertise, innovation, and problem-solving abilities across emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities, and Sustainable Technology.
Day-1 (27-03-2026):
The first day of the Brewing Codes 4.0 Hackathon began with the registration process, where participating teams from across the country arrived at the venue and were systematically onboarded.
The event formally commenced with a sacred Guru Pujan ceremony, reflecting the university’s tradition of blending spiritual values with modern scientific learning. The ceremony was led by Dr. Mudita Agarwal (Dean, Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness) and Mr. Gaurav Thakur(Deputy Dean, Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness), invoking blessings for wisdom, creativity, and success for all participants. This auspicious beginning created a focused and positive environment for innovation.
Following the Guru Pujan, Prof. (Dr.) Awakash Mishra (Dean, Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology), delivered a warm and enthusiastic welcome address. He greeted all participants, dignitaries, and guests, and encouraged students to make the most of the platform by showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. His motivating words set an energetic tone for the hackathon.
Further, Dr. Trapty Agarwal, Dean Academics, addressed the gathering and provided valuable insights into the concept and significance of hackathons. She elaborated on how hackathons serve as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and real-world problem solving, and emphasized their potential to transform ideas into scalable startup ventures. Her address inspired participants to think beyond coding and focus on building impactful and sustainable solutions.
Distinguished Guests and Expert Sessions
The event was further enriched by the presence of eminent experts and academicians from prestigious institutions across India and abroad.
Prof. (Dr.) Rabins Porwal (CSJMU, Kanpur), an academic leader with over 22 years of experience in teaching and research, shared his expertise in Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, promoting innovation through research and collaboration.
Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Katarya (Delhi Technological University), recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (Stanford, 2019–2025), contributed his deep insights in AI, Big Data, and Web Mining, with extensive publications in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and ACM platforms, reflecting his global research impact.
Dr. Ashish Khanna (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi), a globally recognized scientist and educator, also featured among Stanford’s top 2% scientists, shared his expertise in AI, Big Data, and Biomedical Data Analytics, emphasizing innovation and research excellence.
The session was further graced by Hon’ble Chancellor of MUIT, Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava, who joined in online mode and inspired participants with his visionary thoughts on holistic education, integrating scientific knowledge with spiritual wisdom in line with the university’s philosophy of “Scientifically Spiritual, Spiritually Scientific.”
Additionally, Prof. (Dr.) Ghanshyam Singh (University of Johannesburg, South Africa) joined online and shared his valuable insights as a renowned researcher in Electronics & Communication Engineering, specializing in wireless communication, RF/Microwave systems, Terahertz antennas, and next-generation communication networks.
The knowledge session was further strengthened by Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kahate (AI/ML Expert), who joined online and delivered an engaging session. With decades of experience in IT and education, he is widely known for simplifying complex concepts in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and demonstrating their real-world applications.
Day-2 (28-03-2026):
The second day of the Brewing Codes 4.0 Hackathon began with great enthusiasm as the shortlisted teams successfully completed their overnight coding sprint. After hours of continuous development, debugging, and optimization, participants finalized their projects, ensuring that their solutions were fully functional, scalable, and ready for evaluation. To keep energy levels high, the organizers arranged refreshment breaks with coffee, snacks, and music, creating a dynamic and engaging environment.
Distinguished Guests and Expert Presence
Day 2 was further enriched by the presence of eminent academicians and industry experts who contributed their valuable insights during the evaluation process.
Prof. (Dr.) Mansaf Alam (Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi) shared his academic expertise and encouraged participants to pursue research-driven innovation.
Mr. Atul Pandey, a Cybersecurity Expert, provided practical perspectives on digital security, privacy, and real-world challenges in the cyber domain.
Dr. Jai Narayan Tripathi (IIT Jodhpur) offered insights into advanced technological developments and innovation-driven research who have joined online and shared expertise.
Prof. (Dr.) Kamta Nath Mishra (Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra) joined in online mode and shared his expertise, further enhancing the learning experience for participants.
Their presence added immense value to the event, inspiring students to refine their ideas and align them with industry and research standards.
Announcement of Results and Awards
The much-awaited results were officially announced by Dr. Trapty Agarwal, Dean Academics, marking a proud and celebratory moment for all participants.

Valedictory Ceremony and Conclusion
The valedictory session was graced by Hon’ble Director General, Group Captain O.P. Sharma, whose presence added prestige to the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of all participants and highlighted the importance of innovation, discipline, and technological advancement in shaping the future.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of the Brewing Codes 4.0 Hackathon.
