Objective of the Event

The primary objective of the event was to enable students to analyze real-world company-based case studies in Corporate Finance. By applying theoretical concepts to practical business scenarios, students developed critical analytical skills and gained hands-on learning experience in financial decision-making.

Participating Students

The Finance Club organized this engaging academic activity for a total of 47 students. Out of these, 36 students formed 12 teams (comprising 2–4 members each) to analyze and present findings on corporate finance cases. The activity encouraged collaborative learning and teamwork, with all participants adhering to the professional Management Department dress code. Each team demonstrated balanced participation, showcasing comprehensive analysis and strong financial acumen.

The Maharishi School of Business Management, Noida, organised an academic activity titled “Case Study on Corporate Finance” on 24th March, 2026, at Room No. F-106, MSoBM Department, MUIT Noida Campus in association with IQAC. The event commenced at 2:00 PM with a brief introduction to the activity format and guidelines. The competition was structured into two interactive rounds designed to rigorously assess participants’ knowledge:

Screening Round: This initial phase focused on screening the case and testing the fundamental financials involved. Based on their performance, 8 teams were shortlisted for the final stage.

Presentation Round: Shortlisted teams presented a comprehensive analysis of their assigned cases. Participants demonstrated a deep understanding of corporate finance principles and their practical applications in a professional setting.

The activity covered several key dimensions of finance, including Financial Statement Analysis and interpretation, Capital Budgeting and investment decision-making, Capital Structure Optimization and financing decisions, Working Capital Management strategies and

Risk Assessment and strategic financial planning.

The event successfully empowered students to apply theoretical Corporate Finance concepts to complex, real-business scenarios, to develop analytical and problem-solving skills essential for financial leadership to enhance teamwork and collaborative learning abilities to improve professional presentation and communication skills and to gain practical insights into the corporate financial decision-making process.


The judges of the event were Dr. Ashish Gupta (Dy.Dean, MSOBM) and Ms. Monika (Assistant Professor, MSOBM)  The discussion involved active interaction between the judges and the students during their presentations. The activity concluded with the announcement of winners, where three teams secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions and awarded by Dr. Azad Singh (Dean, MSOBM). The event significantly enhanced students' financial literacy and analytical thinking. The collaborative format not only fostered peer learning but also strengthened the students' ability to work effectively in professional team environments.
