Introduction
On the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami, the Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology (MSoET) organized Saraswati Pooja on 23rd January 2026 at 12:00 p.m. with great devotion, traditional values, and spiritual enthusiasm. The event was organized to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati, revered as the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learning, music, arts, and intellectual enlightenment. The ceremony reflected the institution’s deep respect for Indian cultural heritage and its commitment to nurturing academic excellence along with moral and spiritual values among students and faculty members.
Vasant Panchami marks the arrival of the spring season and holds immense cultural, educational, and spiritual significance in Indian tradition. The day symbolizes renewal, positivity, and the blossoming of knowledge and creativity. It is considered highly auspicious for initiating education, artistic pursuits, and intellectual activities, making it especially significant for students, teachers, and academicians. Worshipping Goddess Saraswati on this day is believed to enhance wisdom, clarity of thought, and academic growth. Through this celebration, MSoET aimed to inspire the academic community to uphold the values of learning, discipline, and intellectual development while strengthening a sense of unity and devotion within the campus.

The Saraswati Puja commenced with the age-old Indian tradition of Guru Puja, emphasizing the importance of the gurus as a guiding light in the path of knowledge and wisdom.
The Guru Pooja was performed by Dr. Mudita Agarwal, Dean, School of Science of Consciousness and Mr. Gaurav, Deputy Dean, School of Science of Consciousness, following traditional rituals and mantras. This ritual highlighted the reverence for gurus who play a vital role in shaping students’ lives and intellect.
Following the Guru Puja, Dean MSoET, Prof. (Dr.) Awakash Mishra, along with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dean Academics, other dignitaries, faculty members, and staff, performed the sacred ritual of Pran Pratishta of Maa Saraswati’s idol.
The rituals were conducted with complete devotion, chanting of holy mantras, and proper vidhi-vidhaan. Offerings such as flowers, fruits, and books were placed before Maa Saraswati, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge, learning, and wisdom, as Goddess Saraswati is worshipped as the divine source of vidhya and gyan.
The ceremony concluded with the soulful Saraswati Aarti, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Thereafter, Panchamrit and Prasad were distributed among all present.
Faculty members, staff, and attendees offered prayers and sought blessings from Maa Saraswati for wisdom, knowledge, academic success, and intellectual growth.
The Saraswati Puja celebration on Vasant Panchami at the Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology was a spiritually enriching and culturally significant event.
